Change Solemnisation Details

This allows the user to change the solemnisation details. Note that a fee will be charged per transaction

Please make sure that you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions before proceeding with submission.
 
1. Manner of Applying to Change Solemnisation Details
Application for change can be done only through the Internet or Internet self-help kiosks at ROMM. Assistance is available to persons using these kiosks. No other mode of application to change solemnisation details will be entertained.
   
2. Changes Allowed
Application may be made to change one or more of the following only:
a) Date of solemnisation
b) Time of solemnisation
c) Witness(es)
d) Venue of solemnisation
e) Solemniser
f) Marriage Expenses (Hantaran)
g) Mahar (Mas Kahwin)

If you need to change an application detail which is not listed in paras 2a to 2g above, please refer your case personally to the Registrar of Muslim Marriages for his consideration, at least 2 weeks before your date of solemnisation.

ROMM does not allow for change in Wali's details online. If there are any unforeseen circumstances that require you to change the Bride's Wali, you will need to call at ROMM personally.
   
3. Time frame for Applying for Change

For marriages within ROMM
Changes can be made up to the day of solemnisation before the ceremony.

For marriages outside ROMM
Changes can be made before marriage documents are collected.

  1. Ten or less days before the scheduled date of solemnisation of marriage - Application for change can only be done at self-help kiosks @ ROMM.

    For changes that are made within 10 days before the date of solemnisation, couples are to bear the courier charges incurred by ROMM in dispatching their updated marriage certificates to their respective Kadi/Naib Kadis residence.

    1. The courier company will be engaged by the Registry.
    2. Payment to the courier company will be made in cash.
    3. The service will dispatch the updated marriage certificate from ROMM to the couple's chosen Kadi/Naib Kadi residence.


    Your solemniser will not solemnise your marriage if the updated marriage certificate does not reach him in time before your stipulated solemnisation date/time.
After the scheduled date of solemnisation of marriage - NO application for change can be made. Applicants are required to file a fresh notice of marriage. If the new solemnisation date is within 150 days from the date of the original Notice of Marriage filed, please call at ROMM personally to make arrangements.
   
4. Fees Payable
A standard fee is payable before each Application for Change. (Click here for current fee schedule) The fee is regardless of number of items (refer to para 2 above) changed as it is based on a per transaction basis.

All payments made are non-refundable. ROMM accepts only payments via eNets Credit (VISA or Mastercard). For payments made at the Internet self-help kiosks, ROMM also accepts payment by Cash Card and NETS.

5. Once the transaction is completed, applications must:
a. Collect a list of changes made to solemnisation details; and
b. Collect a receipt from the printer

Please follow the instructions provided at the kiosk.
