Marriages Registered Outside Singapore
If you have registered your marriage outside Singapore, the law does not require you to re-register with ROMM. The marriage certificate issued by the competent authority of the foreign country may be accepted as prima facie evidence of a marriage between the parties named in the certificate, as long as it does not contravene the local and the Syariah Law.
