Besides your NRIC or passport, it is compulsory for you to produce the following documents, where applicable, for verifications.
 
General Documets Needed For All Nationalities
1. Divorce Certificate or Decree Nisi and Decree Nisi Absolute, if divorced.
2. Death Certificate of a deceased spouse, if widowed.
3. Deed poll if name differs from NRIC.
4. Adoption proof.
5. Conversion card issued by MUIS. If conversion is contracted outside Singapore, the certificate should be duly endorsed by MUIS.
 
Additional Documents Needed For Other Nationalities
1. Letter from the country of origin to confirm the marital status, if single.
2. An authorisation letter from the Bride's Wali if he is unable to be present for the registration and solemnisation due to extenuating circumstances. This consent letter can be made in any local marriage registry or official Islamic offices. Download the authorisation form here:

3. For brides who are Muslim converts and is below 21 years and her father is not a convert, she needs to seek her parental consent. It should be preferably done in person but if he is unable to do so due to extenuating circumstances, he may give his consent in writing. If in writing, her father needs to go to any legal entity (lawyers) and declare his consent to the marriage. Download the consent form here.
4. Letter of approval from Work Permit Office, Ministry of Manpower if your future spouse is a work permit or ex-work permit holder.
5. For Malaysian, Indonesian and Brunei citizens, letter of non-impediment from the local registry of marriages/Islamic bodies.

3. Legal Guardian Court order under the Guardianship of Infants Ordinance or Appointment letter of Guardianship issued by the living or deceased parents or a Statutory Declaration of the claim.
