bride and groom before the solemnization, if any.

A sermon (Khutbah)
on marriage by the Kadi / Naib Kadi (solemnizer).

The bride's Wali appoints
the Kadi / Naib Kadi to solemnize the marriage or otherwise
agrees to solemnize the marriage himself.
4.
Solemnization (Akad'
Nikah).
5.
Taklik, reading of
special marriage conditions by the groom.
6.
Prayers by the Kadi / Naib Kadi (Dua').
7.
Groom giving the bride
the Mahar (Maskahwin).
8.
Collection of the marriage
certificate
if couples have completed their Marriage
Guidance Course. If there is a change of detail on the solemnization day e.g.
witness, for marriages conducted outside of ROMM, you will need to inform your solemnizer
on when you will go to ROMM to collect the marriage certificate.
What you need to do
when receiving your marriage certificate
When you received your
marriage certificate, please ensure the following:
Check that all NRIC
numbers, names, solemnization venue and date are
correct and are spelt correctly
Seek rectification
immediately if there is error, if your marriage
is in ROMM or by the next working day if it is
held outside ROMM
